Welcome back, my fellow creatives!
Every New Year, I look ahead and wonder what adventures and challenges await. I still have my writing goals from last year, and for the first time in a long while, I’m on track to keep them. How about you?
We all imagine our beautiful creations in their final stages, but the journey to reach that stage is covered in the noxious fog of apprehension and anxiety. Such a haze is enough to deter the strongest of us. It certainly deterred me. Some days, it still does.

But 2026 doesn’t have to be like that for you, me, or anyone else.
This month, I’d like to highlight Story Empire’s set of four modules dedicated to guiding you through the writing journey: planning your goals, learning your craft, choosing your method of publication, and selecting a marketing strategy. Each module is supplemented with additional readings to help you get started on your journey toward becoming an author. Enjoy!

Coming up, I’ve got another indie author interview, a podcast, and of course, some fun movie music to get your adventure moving.
Read on, share on, and write on, my friends!

Your blog is a diamond, all the best, Mike

You’re welcome, and yes, Wisconsin is treating very well. It is my home state, and although I may venture outside of its border from time-to-time, I always come back. It is home.

What a fun share, Jean. Liz put a lot of effort into the mini-course, and I know it will be useful to a new writers (and some of us old ones too! Lol.) Glad to hear also that you’re meeting your goals. Nice! Have an awesome January.
